Sonars & Adult Sailing

SIYC Members are invited to participate in the Club’s Summer Racing Program or to take a Sonar out for a casual day-sail. The boats are generally available Monday to Friday afternoons or all day on non-event Saturdays. The Sonars are available to all Club members, but participants in the Sonar Share Program will get preference on time slots.

Adult Sailing

In addition to our Sonar program, the Shelter Island Yacht Club also offers programs for adult members to broaden and enrich their on-the-water experience. Members new to sailing or looking to brush up on their skills can take individual or group sailing lessons given by certified instructors.
