Club Staff

General Manager: Matthew DeMaula (mdemaula@siyc.com)

Matt served as the General Manager of the Club for five seasons (2000-04). He has recently returned to the Club, after a twelve year hiatus, for the 2017 season. A born and raised North Forker, Matt’s local seafaring knowledge, hospitality experience and culinary education make him uniquely suited to guide the Club forward into the future. He and his wife Jennifer have been married for fourteen years, after having first met at the Club in 1998.

 

 

Club Ambassador: Paul Stewart (pstewart@siyc.com)

Paul is celebrating his 28th year at the club and looks forward to a wonderful 2017 season at the Shelter Island Yacht Club. He will help transition his replacement, Wade Kotula, over the coming season and slowly ease himself into a well deserved retirement.

Waterfront and Facilities Manager:  Wade Kotula (wkotula@siyc.com)

Wade has joined the management team as the replacement for Paul for the 2017 season and beyond. Wade brings years of waterfront management experience and local knowledge to the position.

Food & Beverage Manager: Emma Bowditch (ebowditch@siyc.com)

Emma is a Shelter Island native.  She has been with the Club for four years, and recently accepted the role as Food and Beverage Manager. Her enthusiasm, knowlegde and professionalism make her a great asset to the management team. Emma is also attending graduate school for speech language pathology.

Director of Sailing: Jeffrey Bresnahan (sailingdirector@siycjunior.com)

Jeff is entering his 16th year with the Club. He oversees all aspects of internal and external Sailing for SIYC members. He works closely with the Race Committee to help develop volunteers and bring in Professional RC when needed. In addition he oversees all aspects of the Junior Sailing Program. Jeff reports to the Sailing Development Committee and Junior Sailing Committee.

                   

Controller: Lori Kimmelmann (lkimmelmann@siyc.com)

Lori began working on the Shelter Island Yacht Club’s financials in 1995 with an outside accounting firm. She came to be a part of the SIYC family in 2000 as the Club Controller. She lives in the Heights with her husband and 2 children.

Executive Chef: Francis Molignano (fmolignano@siyc.com)

Francis Molignano has been with the SIYC for nine seasons as a sous chef. He recently has been promoted to Executive chef for the 2017 season. He has cooked up & down the East Coast from Charleston, South Carolina to Rockport, Massachusetts. Francis lives in Southampton with his wife and son, James.

Office Manager: Tammi Jernick (office@siyc.com)

Tammi is in charge of mooring reservations and is an essential part of the office staff. She is beginning her 11th season at the club. Tammi hails from Sag Harbor but enjoys living on the island with her husband and two children.
